Este linaje es muy antiguo. Su primitivo solar estuvo en la ciudad de Fraga de la provincia de Huesca, de donde salieron ramas que fundaron nuevas casas solares en Zaragoza; en la villa de Tragacete de la provincia de Cuenca, en el lugar de Ubierna, del partido judicial de Burgos, y en Valencia. Ha dado muchos y buenos caballeros. Algunos llevaron el linaje a Venecia, Nápoles y Sicilia. En Aragón eran reputados como legítimos infanzones. El primer caballero de este linaje de que se tiene noticia es I. Mosén Guillén Agustín, que fue secretario del rey Alfonso IV de Aragón, y floreció en 1330. Descendiente suyo fue II. Antonio Agustín, que aparece como notario de Fraga, su país natal. Asistió a las cortes del reino que se celebraron en dicha ciudad el año 1480 por el Brazo de Infanzones, para la jura del rey don Juan II. Se sabe que casó con doña Violante Gastón, y que de este matrimonio fueron hijos 1.° Guillén Agustín Gascón, que sigue, y 2.° Domingo Agustín Gascón. Este fue baile general de Aragón por los años de 1475 y copero del rey don Juan II, cuyos dos empleos pasaron a su hijo Domingo Agustín en el reinado de don Fernando. Hijo de este último Agustín, fue Jerónimo Agustín, virrey de Mallorca y último varón de esta línea. III. Guillén Agustín Gascón fue continuador de sus padres en la casa de los Agustín de Fraga. ...
