Nobility crown AlbertierCe nom dérive d'un nom de personne d'origine germanique: Adalberth (de adal-, noble et berth, brillant, illustre). Il fut porté comme prénom par plusieurs saints, dont l'évêque d'Avranches fondateur du Mont-Saint-Michel au VIIème siècle. Cette maison répandue en Poitou, Touraine et Languedoc s'établit aux environs d'Aubenas vers 1756. Pierre, sieur de la Mogère, marié à demoiselle Catherine Laborie, du Cheylard, mourut en 1798. Il habitait Aubenas et n'eut que trois filles, dont deux se marièrent en Vivarais, l'une avec Louis-Joseph Bastide, sieur de Malbos (1769), et l'autre avec Jean de Bernardy, de Burzet (1770). On trouve plus anciennement en Vivarais une famille qui paraît très importante; nous ignorons son origine. en 1447 Messire Laurent est prieur du prieuré de St-Pierre-des-Fons ou des Fontaines, entre Meysse et Rochemaure. On trouve plusieurs chanoines de ce nom aux XVIème et XVIIème siècles. Cette maison forma plusieurs branches. La branche du Poitou justifie sa filiation depuis Georges, écuyer à la fin du XVéme siècle. La branche fixée en Touraine, depuuis Gilles-Louis-Antoine du Petit-Thouars, chevalier de St-Louis (1759). La branche du Languedoc, depuis Jean -Baptiste-Auguste-César-Pierre, écuyer (1694). Etienne, né à Beyssac-en-Corrèze, évêque de Noyon en 1338 puis de Clermont en 1340, fut pape, sous le nom d'Innocent VI, de 1352 à sa mort en 1362 à Avignon. ...
