Nobility crown AlliagaSembrano originari di Spagna, stabilitisi in Fossano, ove già sul principio del sec. XVIII fioriva Marco Antonio , maggiore di quella piazza, capostipite noto della famiglia. Egli acquistò dai Valperga di Civrone, insieme con Gianfrancesco Boetto, la metà della signoria di Borghetto, Montegrosso e Pornasio, eretta poi in contea nel 1771. Il figlio suo Filiberto, investito il 16 dic. 1754, sposava Cristina Maria Gandolfi, del conte Giulio Cesare, erede di Ricaldone, aggiungendo ai feudi suddetti e al cognome proprio la contea di Ricaldone e il cognome Gandolfi. Suo nipote Carlo fu all'epoca francese in Piemonte, scudiere del principe Camillo Borghese, ed ebbe, per patente 16 dicembre 1810 di Napoleone I, il titolo dell'impero francese. Altra famiglia: un Federico creato Conte di Ricaldone, Montegrosso e Melazzo, si distinse assai nella guerra contro i Gallo Ispani nel 1744. Un Accellino Alliaga nel 1771 ottenne l'erezione in contado dei feudi di Borghetto ...
