Cavalieri tirolesi, più volte i membri di tal famiglia si sono distinti per la loro abilità militare. Parimenti essi hanno brillato per dottrina e disciplina nelle carriere ecclesiastiche. Abbiamo infatti notizia di un Johannes Alphart, di Basilea, che dal 1474 al 1477 svolse il ruolo di padre provinciale dei Francescani in Norimberga. Lo stesso dal 1481 al 1484 e dal 1487 al 1490 è stato ispettore dei Francescani in Baviera. Morì nel 1492.
