Nobility crown AndrevonCe nom est un exemple de patronyme issu d'un prénom: celui-ci vient du grec andros signifiant "homme"; il a donné naissance en France de nombreuses variantes. Cette maison est l'une des plus anciennes et des plus remarquables de la cité mendoise. Elle apparaît, dès le XVI° siècle, à la tête de la bourgeoisie de cette ville. Cette famille appartenant à la bourgeoisie notable du Gévaudan. On trouve: Jean-Pierre, né, à Sainte-Enimie, en 1767. Directeur général des chauffages à l'armée de Calais (1794), député de la Lozère au Conseil des Cinq-Cents, plus tard député de la Lozère sous la Restauration (1815-1830), receveur général de la Charente, commandeur de la Légion d'honneur. Il fut anobli par lettres patentes du 25 mars 1830. Autre famille de la burgeoisie de Périgueux, a été revêtue de nombreux offices de judicature. Elle possédait dans la ville, rue de la Miséricorde, una maison où se voient, à la clé de voûte de la tour, les armoiries décrites ci-dessus, lesquelles sont identiques à celles qui figurent dans un des livres de l'Hôtel de Ville de Périgueux, sous cette nom. Autre branche originaires du Velay: Robert, chevalier, seigneur de Ludesse, fut inscrit à l'Armorial de 1450, et son descendant Françoise compris au ban de 1543. Trois chanoines-comtes de Brioude de ce nom (1369-1473). Armes de cette branche: d'or, au chevron d'azur, chargé de trois fleurs de lys d'or et accompagné de trois hures de sanglier de sable. ...
