Famiglia bassanese nota per la sua nobiltà fino dal XV sec.; ebbe consiglieri di parte nobile dal 1451. Si presume derivata dalla famiglia patrizia Bon, decadde e si stabilì in Nove di Bassano, ove già sulla fine del 1500 possedeva beni. Nel secolo successivo piantò una fabbrica di terre cotte che nel 1700 ampliata ed estesa alla majolica ed alla porcellana divenne celebre, ottenendo dal Senato veneto importanti privilegi. La famiglia fu reintegrata fra le nobili di Bassano l'11 giugno 1749. La bibliografia di questa famiglia viene menzionata dal Marchese Vittorio Spreti, nella sua Enciclopedia Storico-Nobiliare Italiana stampato in Milano nel 1936. Raccogliendo manoscritti di contenuto araldico e nobiliare-genealogico, tra le biblioteche ed in moltissimi archivi pubblici e privati. Le testimonianze e i documenti raccolti per la formazione dell'opera in questione sono state trasmesse dalla famiglia stessa.
