Pedro de A., natural de Orduña (Vizcaya), y descendiente de la casa infanzona de Mariaca, sita en tierra de Ayala, fué del Real Consejo de Castilla, bajo el reinado de Felipe II, y casó con doña Ana Rodríguez, de la que tuvo a Pedro de A., segundo del nombre, natural de Orduña, Licenciado en Leyes y abogado en dicha ciudad en 1610. Contrajo matrimonio en Orduña con doña María de Valencia, naciendo de esta unión Baltasar de A., natural de Orduña, que pasó a América en 1617, estableciéndose en Chile. Fué Escribano público en la ciudad de Santiago con el nombre de Baltasar de A. La Torre, de 1632 a 1634, y había casado allí, en 1619, con doña Juana de Figueroa, natural de Santiago de Chile y dotada con los bienes que para ese efecto dejó Francisco de Ochandiano, Canónigo de aquella catedral, y con una donación hecha por doña Ana Farra Berris de Gamboa.
