En Vizcaya, con casas en la anteiglesia de Baracaldo, del partido judicial de Valmaseda; en la de Murélaga, del partido judicial de Marquina, y en la de Abadiano, del partido judicial de Durango. Indistintamente se apellidaron en Vizcaya los de este linaje Arbeiza y A. A mediados del siglo XVI era Señor de las casas de su apellido y de la de Aguirrazu, en Baracaldo, Martín de Arbeiza, marido de María López de Aguirrazu. Juan Martín Domingo, Juan Antonio y Domingo Antonio de A., hicieron información de hidalguía ante el Corregidor y Diputados de Vizcaya en 1827, y sus pruebas se guardan en el Archivo general de la Casa de Juntas de Guernica. Una rama de este linaje, apellidándose Arbeiza, pasó a Navarra y fundó nuevo solar cerca de Estella. Debió también dar nombre al lugar de Arbeiza, del Ayuntamiento de Allín y partido judicial de Estella. También pasaron los A. a Burgos y a la Rioja. José de A., vecino de Belorado (Burgos), ganó provisión de hidalguía en Valladolid en 1794, y Toribio de A., vecino de Haro (Logroño), en 1827. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia A., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales. Los esmaltes del arma de los A. pregonan los siguientes valores: el Oro es el símbolo del Sol, origen de la vida, sus características espirituales corresponden a la fé, clemencia, templanza, caridad y justicia, por otra parte dicho esmalte señala a la familia con la felicidad, el amor, la nobleza y el esplendor, es decir, es el más noble de los metales. ...
