On rencontre: Pons, croisé en 1248; Robin, ratifie le traité de Guérande à Montfort-la-Cane, en 1381; un gentilhomme de ce nom se distingua aux sièges de Saint-Denis et de Meaux, en 1433 et 1439; un procureur général aux comptes en 1554. Un page du Roi en 1750, fusillé à Quiberon en 1795. Plusieurs branches de cettes familles ont produit: Robin, ratifie le traité de Guérande à Montfort-la-Cane, en 1381. Un gentilhomme de ce nom se distingua aux sièges de Saint-Denis et de Meaux, en 1433 et 1439. Un procureur général aux comptes en 1554. Un capitaine de Châteaugaillard en 1591. Un page du Roi en 1750, fusillé à Quiberon en 1795. Un page de la Reine en 1756. Un volontaire pontifical, tué à Castelfidardo en 1860. Autre famille: la seigneurie, puis baronnie de Barre, apprtint à la famille de ce nom de 1058 à 1425; puis aux de Taulignan (1425 - 1500). Le bourg de Barre des Cévennes a donné son nom à l'une des plus vieilles races féodales du Gévaudan citée dès le XIème siècle.
