Nobility crown BasualdoLa Torre de B. estuvo sita en la anteiglesia de Santiago, del barrio de Ocharán, Ayuntamiento de Zalla y partido judicial de Valmaseda (Vizcaya), y, según Francisco Lozano, otra casa del mismo apellido radicò en las inmediaciones de la ciudad de Orduña, también en Vizcaya. En Álava, hubo otra casa de este apellido en el Valle de Oquendo, del partido judicial de Amurrio, desde donde pasaron a esta última villa y al lugar de Murga. Hay en España distintas casas Basualdo. Desde muy remotos siglos fué conocida y muy considerada. Los historiadores hacen notar acertadamente que no todos los linajes de este apellido tienen un origen común. Lo encontramos en Vizcaya. Las armas más antiguas son las señaladas en: El solar vasco navarro - Tomo segundo A. y A. Garcia Carraffa Libreria internacional. Los de Vizcaya traen: De oro, con un chevrón de gules, acompañado en los huecos de arriba de un lobo andante de sable, y en el bajo de tres roeles de azur, puestos en triángulo. Otros traen: En plata, un árbol de sinople, con dos lobos de sable, cebada y atravesados a su tronco. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia B., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales, pues la inclusión del elemento lobo indica la participación de esta familia en un hecho que se podría traducir como la victoria sobre el mal y como el de protector de pastores. Los esmaltes del arma de los B. pregonan los siguientes valores: el Oro es el símbolo del Sol, origen de la vida, sus características espirituales corresponden a la fé, clemencia, templanza, caridad y justicia, por otra parte dicho esmalte señala a la familia con la felicidad, el amor, la nobleza y el esplendor, es decir, es el más noble de los metales. ...
