Tuvo solar conocido en el territorio y vecindad de Barcelona, en un castillo muy antiguo que se conservó con el nombre de Bellvís y estaba asentado en un alto, enfrente de Santa Eulalia de Provensana, iglesia antiquísima, que, según tenían por tradición los catalanes, era la primera que se había fundado en el principado de Cataluña y aún afirmaban muchos haberla edificado los Ballvís, señores de aquel castillo.
