Filiation suivie depuis: Jean marié à Philippe Ranquet, docteur et avocat en la sénéchaussée du Puy, qui acheta le 19 septembre 1608, au comte de rochefort d'Ally, la seigneurie de Jalavoux et testa le 31 juillet 1639 laissant: Catherine alliée le 5 février 1624 à Antoine-Charles de Lespinasse du Passage et Vidal seigneur de Javaloux, des Ternes, etc., conseiller en la sénéchaussée du Puy, marié en 1609 à Françoise Spert de Volhac. Autre noble Vidal-François écuyer, seigneur de Taulhac (fils de noble Pierre écuyer, seigneur de Jalavoux), conseiller au même présidial, épousa le 26 janvier 1687 dame Françoise du Mas, veuve d'Antoine de Roqueplan. Jean-Pierre seigneur de Jalavoux, de la Bauche etc. son frère aîné, continua la descendance. Il fut le père de Françoise alliée en 1715, à Marcellin Calemard de la fayette et l'aïeul de Gabrielle de Jalavoux alliée en 1738, à Joseph de Chanaleilles marquis de la Saumès, baron de Ribes, etc. officier au régiment du Roi, d'où postérité existante dans la Haute-Loire. Plusieurs consuls du Puy; un syndic, avocat de cette ville (1639); un conseiller taxateur en la sénéchaussée (1670); un syndic des Etats du Velay (1662); des chanoines de Nôtre Dame, de St Vosy et de St-Georges. Le plus fameux d'entre eux est sans contredit: messire Vital, docteur ès droits, prieur de St-Pierre Enayc et de St-Etienne Lardeyrol, auteur du livre remarquable intitulé Le Chanoine imprimé au Puy en 1647. Nombreux conseillers au sénéchal du Puy dont: Jean lieutenant de la Cour commune (1698) et Pierre écuyer, seigneur et baron de Jalavoux, des Ternes, etc., commissaire principal aux Etats du Velay de 1744. ...
