Questa famiglia originaria di Bergamo, ove godeva il titolo di nobiltà, possedeva in Venezia parecchi stabili in Parrocchia dei Tolentini, Calle del Malcanton. Un Giacomo si distinse nel 1615 pel proprio valore contri i Turchi e gli Uscocchi, per cui il Senato lo onorò della carica di Sopraintendente generale dell'Artiglieria; e Giulio Vescovo di Belluno, fu ammesso al M. C. col fratello Camillo, il 28 marzo 1662 mediante l'esborso di 100 mille ducati, onde sopperire agli ingenti bisogni della Repubblica. Anche Nicolò figlio di Camillo si distise come Podestà e Capitano di Treviso, e morì nel 1772. L'aggregazione alla veneta nobiltà ebbe luogo in seguito alla parte ballottata il 26 marzo 1662 in Senato con voti favorecoli 158, contrari 14, non sinceri 81, proposta e deliberata nel M.
