Louis, chevalier, seigneur de Bar, Courbières, coseigneur de Vissac, partit pour la Terre-Sainte l'an 1145. Guillaume est témoin vers 1164, avec les principaux seigneurs du Velay, d'une vente consentie à l'hôpital St-Jean du Puy et Pagan de Bar, d'une donation par Pierre de Mirmande en 1163. Reynaud, chevalier, vivait de 1242 à 1264; Hugues (1271); Bertrand, damoiseau, seigneur de Bar, coseigneur de Céaux et de Vernassaux; épousa avant 1304 Isabelle de la Rochelambert. Gilbert dit de Courbières, fils et héritier de feu Pons, rend hommage du fief de Pinet au baron d'Allegre (1314). Jean, écuyer, eut mission du sénéchal d'Auvergne le 29 mars 1375, de mettre en état de défense le fort de Champagnat-le-Vieux, appartenant à l'hôtelier-mage de l'abbaye de la Chaise-Dieu. Lancelot, écuyer, est dit capitaine du château d'Allegre le 22 août 1422. A partir de cette époque deux branches: l'aînée, des seigneuries de Bar, Courbières, Céaux-d'Allegre, Vernassaulx, du Pinet, cosgrs de Lissac, éteinte avec Marie dite Béatrix alliée, vers 1410 à Jean Beraud, écuyer, de la noble maison des seigneuries de Bouzols, Solignac, Servissas. La branche cadette des seigneurs de Curmilhac, Bourassol, Courteix, la Condamine, la Garde, trasplantée par alliance en Basse-Auvergne, inscrite à l'armorial de 1450. ...
