Nobility crown BoixLinaje originario de Francia, con casa solar en la ciudad de Pau. Uno de los primeros que pasó a España fue el caballero templario Pedro B., natural de la citada ciudad de Pau, que luchó bravamente contra los moros en las comarcas de Cataluña, especialmente en la serranía de Biuromá, Alcalá de Chisber y Canet. Sus descendientes fueron fundando diversas casas y solares en todo el principado de Cataluña, siendo uno de los más antiguos en que radicó en el valle de Vallfogona, obispado de Vic, cerca de los Pirineos, en el partido judicial de Puigcerdá (Gerona). Otra casa en la villa de Tremp (Lérida). Rama de Mallorca: Descendiente de dicho caballero templario Pedro B., fue Bernardo B., que pasó a Mallorca a principios del siglo XV. Casó en Palma con doña Juana Serralta, en la que procreó a Andrés B., que fue ciudadano militar de Mallorca y prestó grandes servicios al rey don Juan de Aragón, los que le permitió haciéndole donación perpetua de una tercera parte de las escribanías de aquella real audiencia, con todos sus emolumentos, en virtud de real privilegio de 21 de mayo de 1467. Fue su hijo y sucesor Bartolomé B., ciudadano que prestó grandes servicios en tiempos de las comunidades. Tomó el partido del emperador Carlos V y se distinguió en la defensa de la entrada del real palacio de Mallorca cuando los amotinados intentaron asaltarlo para asesinar al virrey. ...
