Mosén Jaime Febrer cita a Bernardo B., que era varvesor de Cataluña, descendiente de los caballeros que tomaron parte en su reconquista. Con gente pagada a sus expensas, sirvió al rey don Jaime I en el sitio de Valencia, y, una vez tomada la ciudad, fue heredado en ella. De la casa de Barcelona era Bernardo de B., conde de Savallá, natural de Barcelona, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Isabel de Paz, natural de Mallorca y procrearon a Juan de B., conde de Savallá, natural de Barcelona, que casó con doña Isabel de Rocabertí, natural de Peralada, del partido judicial de Figueras (Gerona), y fueron padres de Juan de B. y Rocabertí, natural de Barcelona y caballero de Alcántara, en cuya Orden ingresó en 12 de mayo de 1542. A otra línea de la misma casa de Barcelona perteneció Luis B., natural de Barcelona, que de su esposa doña Petronila de Casademunt, de la misma naturaleza, tuvo a José de B., natural de Barcelona y regente del consejo de Aragón, que casó en Milán con doña Lucía Crassi, natural de Milán, y fueron padres de Luis de B. y Crassi, natural de Milán y caballero de la Orden de Santiago, en la que ingresó el 3 de mayo de 1672. ...
