an Enrico Capece, called "Bozzuto", in the year 1136. feudal since the time of Queen Giovanna I, it has enjoyed nobility at the Capuano's seat and was owner of numerous baronies. Moreover, this family, in all ages, always stood out, thanks to the prominent figures, which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal professions and in the military service. Among these, without undervalue the omitted, we would like to mention: Andrea, governor of the Duchy of Amalfi and of the island of Ischia, in 1328; Giacomo archbishop of Naples, created cardinal in 1378; Giovanni, Captain of King Ladislao and Giovanna II councillor; Giovanni, captain of the city of Bari, in 1399, and the father of Nicholas, Palamedes, Flaminio, Maria and Cecilia; Giacomo created cardinal in 1401; Giovanni created cardinal in 1454; Annibale created cardinal in 1550; Antonio, landowner in the Foggia area, flourishing in 1572.
