Nobility crown BurdilsLinaje de origen catalán; se extendió a Baleares, estableciéndose desde muy antiguo en la villa de Inca. A últimos del siglo XVI pasaron los de este apellido a residir en la ciudad de Palma de Mallorca. las escrituras antiguas los llaman Burdils. Guillermo B., rico propietario de la villa de Inca, fue nombrado diputado en 1343 para prestar sacramento y homenaje al rey don Pedro IV de Aragón, conquistador de Mallorca. Bartolomé B., "utriusque juris doctor", fue del consejo del rey don Juan II de Aragón, y este monarca premió su lealtad y servicios haciéndole merced de la caballería de Lecanti, en Muro, en virtud de privilegio de 16 de noviembre de 1463. Arnaldo y Nicolás B. fueron caballeros de la Orden de San Juan. Miguel B. fue también caballero profeso de la citada Orden en 1702. Miguel B. Sureda defendió con gran denuedo la causa de Felipe V y fue alcaide del castillo de San Carlos. Juan Bautista B., natural de Palma, contrajo matrimonio con doña Magdalena Truyols, de la misma naturaleza, y fueron padres de Juan Bautista B. y Truyols, segundo del nombre, natural de Palma y caballero de la Orden de Alcántara, que casó con doña Leonor Truyols, de igual naturaleza, y procrearon a Juan Bautista B. y Truyols, tercero del nombre, natural y regidor perpetuo de la ciudad de Palma de Mallorca y caballero de Calatrava, en cuya Orden ingresó el 17 de diciembre de 1700. ...
