Linaje muy antiguo de Mallorca, pues ya era conocido en el siglo XV. Fray Miguel C., religioso observante, fue muerto por los moros en su convento de Mahón, en 1535. Otro religioso de la misma orden llamado fray Miguel C., murió asistiendo a los apestados de Campanet y Buguer, en 1652. En una adarga del siglo XV, que se conserva en la catedral de Mallorca, entre las capillas de la Corona y de San Martín, se conservan las armas de esta familia. Tuvo este apellido su casa solar en Mallorca.
