Nobility crown CarlevarisCarlo-Giuseppe, dottore in leggi essendo sindaco di San Damiano nel 1722 fece in modo che ne ottenne l'investitura colla dignità comitale, e poi rivoltosi contro quel Comune gl'intentò contro una famosa lite per levargli tutte le prerogative che godeva da tempo immemorabile. Il Conte Carlo-Giuseppe suo figlio fu uditore generale di guerra, indi avvocato fiscale regio del consiglio supremo di Sardegna. Cesare, nato nel 1826, sposa a Varazze (Savona) la Nobildonna Giustina dei Conti Paoletti di Mondovì. Con Cesare nel 1850 la proprietà delle Bandite, casa del 1500 con annessi cascinali e terreni vari, già proprietà della Famiglia Carlevarini, venne eletta a dimora principale dei Carlevarini. La tenuta delle Bandite si trova nel Comune di Cadibona a qualche chilometro da Savona. Il ramo primario si è estinto con il Conte Enrico, figlio di Giacinto e Padre di Teresa che morì nel 1885, sepolto nella tombra dei Signori, Chiesa di Cherignasco con cui era imparentata la Contessa Teresa. I nobili dei Conti Carlevarini, discendenti da Carlo Felice - secondogenito diventarono gli unici rappresentanti dell'illustre Casato. La famiglia é iscritta genericamente nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobile Italiano del 1922 coi titoli di Conte di S. Damiano (mpr.), Signore della Motta (di Condiolo) (mpr.), in persona dei Discendenti da Carlo Giuseppe, di Domenico, di Carlo Giuseppe (1779). Attuali rappresentanti: Nob. dei Conti Umberto Carlevarini, nato ad Alassio il 26 maggio 1956 figlio della N. D. Roncallo Caterina Maria e di Carlo Carlevarini, nato a Savona di 30 maggio 1918 il quale nel 1939 istituì l'allevamento "delle Bandite", riconosciuto nello stesso anno dall'Ente Nazionale Cinofilia Italiana, divenne successivamente Giudice Nazionale ed Internazionale, riscuotendo un notevole e meritato successo nell'allevamento del cane da caccia. Dedicò tutta la sua esistenza alla selezione delle varie razze, di questo "amico dell'uomo" per il quale spese tutte le sue energie, venendo a mancare in Castelpusterlengo il 2 febbraio 1992. Sorella: Nob. dei Conti Anna Maria Calervarini nata a Varazze il 5 agosto 1948. La Famiglia è iscritta nel Registro dei Verbali del Corpo della Nobiltà Europea con delibera in Roma del 9 ottobre 1992 e gode della trasmettibilità del titolo (mf.). ...
