Nobility crown CascajaresLos progenitores de este linaje poblaron en la villa de Cascajares de Bureba, del partido judicial de Briviesca (Burgos) y tomaron su nombre por apellido. Una rama fundó nueva casa en la villa de Navarrete, del partido judicial de Logroño, pasando una línea a establecerse en la ciudad de Tudela (Navarra). Francisco C. era vecino de Tudela en 1660. Pedro Tomás de C. y Blancas, natural de Tudela, pasó a a villa de Las Cuevas de Cañart (Teruel), donde residió varios años y luego se estableció en la villa de Calanda, de la misma provincia aragonesa, donde murió el 9 de Septiembre de 1666 y fué enterrado en el Pilar. Aunque estuvo casado no dejó descendencia que heredera sus bienes, y los obtuvo su hermano Jacinto de C. y Blancas, que había nacido en Alagón (Zaragoza), hallándose en esta villa de paso sus padres. Se estableció, pues, dicho Jacinto en Calanda y allí murió en 1704, siendo sepultado en la capilla del Santo Cristo, de la iglesia parroquial. De su matrimonio con doña Ana María C. salió la línea del apellido C., en Calanda, pues fué nieto suyo Juan Melchor C., que casó con su prima doña Antonia de Erla y Bolea, Baronesa de Bárcabo, siendo nieto de este matrimonio Agustín de C. y Bardají, Barón de Bárcabo y padres de numerosa prole, entre la que descolló el Cardenal Antonio C. y Azara Bardají, natural de Calanda, Cardenal arzobispo de Zaragoza en fines del pasado siglo y principios de éste y caballero de Calatrava. ...
