Ai tempi dell'imperatore Enrico IV, con un cavalier Pieralbano, passò in Sicilia, stabilendosi in Palermo. In detto Pieralbano, dallo stesso imperatore, ottenne l'ufficio di senatore. Tra i personaggi che, maggiormente, resero lustro a tal casato, ricordiamo: Nicolò conte di Montalbano, barone di Tripi e di Naso e stratigò di Messina 1278; altro Nicolò milite, conte di Montalbano, governatore di Messina 1356 e tesoriere del regno di Sicilia 1357; Federico pretore di Palermo 1371-72, 1386-87, 1389-90 e 1391-92; Andrea capitano sotto Carlo V, da cui si ebbe la castellania di Milazzo; Cristofaro, da Lipari, il quale, con privilegio dato in data 5 giugno 1682, ottenne il titolo di barone di Santa Marina; P.
