Cette maison est ancienne en Vivarais. Les premiers seigneurs des Peschiers, seigneurie située à cinq cents mètres de Vernoux, le famille dont le lieu était dans la paroisse de Silhac.. Armand damoiseau vivait en 1283. Le 15 août 1325, Gèranton et Guillaume, frères, seigneurs des Peschiers, fondèrent la chapelle Saint-Nicolas dans l'église de Saint-Pierre de Vernoux, avec pension de 50 florins, six saumées de seigle, un muy et demi de vin et cinq charges de foin. En 1375, noble Hugon et Bèraude, sa nièce, confirment cette pension. Bèraude était mariée, en 1359, à noble Jacques du Pont, et en 1389, à noble Imbert Malhet; seigneur de la Tour. En 1349 Raymond, prieur de Burzet, était issu de cette famille, seigneurs de La Baume-sur-Coiron, dès 1210. Le 10 mai 1360 Hugon était prieur de Burzet. En 1367 Renaud et Bernard, au nom de son fils Guillaume, reconnaissent à l'évêque de Viviers, le château de La Balme-sur-Coiron. En 1427 Jean de était chanoine de Charaix. Félix, dame de La Baume, paroisse de Saint-Jean-le-Centenier, fille et héritière de Gaspard et de Françoise de Balazuc, épousa, le 28 janvier 1547, François de Julien, coseigneur de Mirabel. ...
