Es una de las familias más nobles y calificadas de Aragón, con casa solar en el lugar de Conchillos (cuyo nombre tomó), del partido judicial de Tarazona y provincia de Zaragoza, y tan antigua que, en una escritura del libro Becerro de San Millán de la Cogulla de 25 de Diciembre de 1089, dice el Rey Alonso que, cuando volvía de una jornada, firmó aquella cédula en el campo de Conchillos, en Monte-Aragón. El ascendiente más antiguo de que se tiene noticia es: Mosén Pedro C., primero del nombre, que floreció en tiempos del Rey Don Pedro IV de Aragón y fué general de la frontera de Tarazona. Testó en 1429 y dejó por hijos a Lope C., Doctor en ambos Derechos y Deán de Jaca y Tarazona. Hizo un codicilo en 7 de Marzo de 1486; y Gonzalo C., primero del nombre, que sigue. Este Gonzalo C., natural de Tarazona, contrajo matrimonio con doña Antonia de Tobía, a la que hizo madre de Mosén Pedro C. y Tobía, segundo del nombre, que sigue; Aldonza C., esposa del Señor de Escoron; y Margarita C., mujer de Gómez de Orea. El mayor, Mosén Pedro C. y Tobía, segundo del nombre, vecino de Tarazona, sirvió a los Reyes Católicos en la conquista del reino de Granada. Se distinguió en la toma de Vera, y Don Fernando le armó allí caballero en 1488. Estuvo casado con doña Margarita de Quintana, de igual naturaleza, y ambos otorgaron testamento en Tarazona el 17 de Diciembre de 1510, en el que nombran los ocho hijos que tuvieron, entre los cuales Pedro C. Quintana, tercero del nombre, y Lope C. Quintana. ...
