Nobility crown CorsasCette famille est du Haut-Vivarais. En 1513, elle comptait parmi les familles nobles du Vivarais qui avaient fourni des gentilshommes aux bans et arrière-bans du Languedoc. Nous trouvons dans le Cartulaire du prieuré de Saint-Sauveur-en-Rue quelques actes très anciens intéressant une famille de Corsas. La famile de Monteil de Corsas, dit du Solier, est d'une noblesse fort ancienne et de possession immémoriale. Cet auteur donne: 1° Pons qui, au XIVème siècle, épousa l'héritière de Corsas; 2° Pierre de Monteil; 3° Guillaume; 4° Guillaume II; 5° Claude, marié à Gabrielle de Prunière; 6° Claude Ii. L'armorial de L. de La Roque donne la suite de cette généalogie. Les Monteil portèrent toujours le nom de Corsas, tandis qu'une autre branche portait celui de Saint-Quentin. Les Corsas du Brus, auxquels du Solier consacre aussi un article, étaient également sortis de la maison de Corsas. C'était une famille notariale. Achille Corsas fils de Pierre, prit la qualification de noble; il avait épousé Marguerite de Bouzanguet. A la fin du XVIème siècle, Jeanne Coursas était mariée à Pierre-Paul de Chambaud, seigneur de Saint-Quintin, syndic du Vivarais pour les protestants. En 1640, demoiselle Denise de Coursas était separée de biens de son mari, sieur Pierre Gonod. Vers 1660, damoiselle Claire de Coursas, fille de maître Pierre de Coursas, docteur-ès-droits, avocat en Parlement et de feue Catherine de Brenas, du lieu de Brus, paroisse de Saint-Victor, épouseJean LAcou, fils de Claude, de la ville de Bulieu, et de Claudine Veyre. ...
