Nobility crown CrollaNobile ed antica, originaria di Milano, ebbe a capostipite un Giovanni-Alboino che seguì Corrado III alla seconda crociata. Dopo la distruzione di Milano, avvenuta nel 112, fu trapiantata a Piuro nel contado di Chiavenna, da dove, divisa in vari rami, si stabilì in Piacenza, in Sicilia, in Genova, mentre altra diramazione andò a piantare le proprie radici in Borgogna, in Provenza, nella Sitria e nel Tirolo. Più tardi il ramo primogenito di Chiavenna si trsaferì a Fermo nelle Marche, e quindi a Pisa in Toscana. La nobiltà dei Crollalanza rimonta all'Imper. Carlo V che al concedeva a quei di Piuro e di Chiavenna, confermata poi dall'Imp. Ferdinando II con diploma del 18 Ott. 1629. Quindi l'Imperat. Leopoldo I con diploma 28 Mar. 1663 li creava Cavalieri ereditari dell'Impero. I Crollalanza di Piacenza furono creati nobili piacentini con decreti ducali del 28 Novembre 1678 e 3 Ott. 1690.
