In nome di Sua Maesta Vittorio Emanuele Terzo, Il Tribunale Civile e Penale di Genova Sezione,Seconda , Sentenziava con atto registrato il 15 Gennaio 1909, Dichiara competere unicamente ai Crovara Pescia il diritto ai titoli di Barone e Marchese d'Irosa in dipendenza del fidecommesso,disposto dal suo autore Gervasio Pescia Primo. L'atto di investitura fu promulgato a Madrid il 24/12/1696. da Carlo Secondo Re di Castiglia Aragona. Il Diploma venne trascritto nell' archivio di Stato di Palermo Sezione Seconda il 20/dicembre 1697.
La bibliografia di questa famiglia viene menzionata dal Marchese Vittorio Spreti, nella sua Enciclopedia Storico-Nobiliare Italiana stampato in Milano nel 1936. Raccogliendo manoscritti di contenuto araldico e nobiliare-genealogico, tra le biblioteche ed in moltissimi archivi pubblici e privati. Le testimonianze e i documenti raccolti per la formazione dell'opera in questione sono state trasmesse dalla famiglia stessa. Così come risulta dalla Rivista Araldica edita dal Collegio Araldico di Roma. Per successione a casa Pescia, il 26 agosto 1785 un Bartolomeo Gervasio ottenne investitura dei due titoli di marchese e di barone di Irosa. Il primo di detti titoli venne riconosciuto, non sappiamo in forza di qual diritto, nel 1899 a Niccolò Antonio Pottino; con quello di barone di Irosa venne invece iscritto nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare il signor Vincenzo C. Pescia (di Ignazio, di Francesco) padre di Ignazio. ...
