Nobility crown CucheLa famille Cuchet est originaire de Voreppe, près de Grenoble; un de ses membres s'établit au Teil en Vivarais, au XVIIème siècle. Son petit-fils Jean Cuchet, né en 1692, conseiller du Roi et maire perpétuel du Teil, fit héritier son neveu Pierre Massis, fils de François Massis, avocat, et de Marie du Cuchet, mariés, en 1682, et petit-fils de Christol Messis, d'Ancôme à chargé de reprendre le nom de Cuchet. Le fils de Pierre Massis, Pierre-Romnald, seigneur d'Aubignas, conseiller du Roi et maire perpétuel du teil, s'établit à Aubenas où il épousa, le 25 février 1772, Françoise-Geniève Cornuscle de Dornas, fille de Louis-Joseph et de Jeanne de Rias-Roudier. Sa descendance est encore représentée par M. Léopold Cuchet, chevalier de la Légion d'honneur, président de la Chambre de Commerce d'Aubenas; M. Jules Cuchet: M. Joseph Cuchet, ingénieur; et M. Louis Cuchet, officier d'artillerie. La famille Cuchet contracta des alliances avec les familles Prunier de Beauchêne, des Alrics du Rousset, Faujas, d'Hilarie de Jovyac (1705), de Raoulx (1715), Pavin de Lafarge et de Saint-Victor (1723 et 1770), Cornuscle de Dornas (1772), de Lamer (1806), Fabry, Combier (1862), Deydier (1860), etc. ...
