Origine del cognome Daghini, provenienza: Italia

Titolo: Nobles - Marquises
Araldica della famiglia: Daghini
Corona nobiliare Daghini
Ancient and noble family from Lombardy, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. According to some heraldic reconstructions, the family descends from the Marquises Ghini, a noble family from Siena of which there are records already in the early thirteenth century, when Angelo Ghini was ambassador to Urban IV and Martin was appointed Rector of Cassino, in 1286; Ghino, brave captain, lived in 1326; Negro was a Knight of St. Giovanni and died in Rhodes in 1330. When the Ghini family tried to have the Lordship of Volterra but was defeated by the family Pannocchieschi,... Continua
so powerful in Siena, many of its members, in 1430, left Siena to take refuge in Romagna and Lombardy. In this period, it is presumed that some family members changed their surname into similar as Daghini. Anyway, the Daghini family, always stood out, thanks to the prominent figures, which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal professions and in the military service. Among these, without undervalue the omitted, we would like to mention: Tommaso, landowner in Lombardy, flourishing in in 1503; Luigi, doctor in "utroque jure", flourishing in Milan, in 1535; Pietro Maria, landowner in Lombardy, flourishing in 1542; Father Antonio, of the Order of Preachers, flourishing in 1582; Francesco, doctor in "utroque jure", flourishing in Milan, in 1582; Antonio Maria, militiaman, living in Bergamo, in 1603; Fr. Giacomo, canon and apostolic commissioner, living in Florence, in 1652; Tommaso Maria, jurist, flourishing in Milan, in 1671; Federico, militiaman, who distinguished himself for honor and virtue, in the War of Candia; Filippo Maria, jurist in Milan, living in 1695. Family names so old, without any doubt honour not only families but also the cities that welcomed them; seems to be, in fact, very worthy the living members of this family which, with much decorum, carry this noble surname, which has had several illustrious members.
