Dans les archives de la Gironde il est dit que M. maìtre François, sieur de Montgaillerd, conseiller en la cour, mourut le 18 mars 1582, que le chapitre de Saint-André assista à ses funérailles et que M. maìtre Léon, sieur de Monsalet, son frère, conseiller à la même cour, mort le 5 septembre suivant, fut enseveli à la Grande Observance, où le chapitre assista également. Frontonne, fille de Guilhem, lieutenant-général, juge-mage en Périgord en 1399, et de Alphoïde de Lur, était femme de Pierre d'Arnaud, écuyer, seigneur de Paussat. Aymond, damoiseau de Paussac, leur fils, épousa, par contrat, écrit en latin, du 5 décembre 1439, Marguerite Bonald, fille de Jean de Bonald, chevalier, seigneur de Campanhac, de Montignac, et de Jeanne de Royère.
