Don Bernardo Rodríguez del T., vecino de Caracas, fue creado Marqués del T. en 26 de septiembre de 1732, Don Mateo de T. y Zambrano vecino de Santiago de Chile, fue creado Conde de la conquista en 6 de marzo de 1770. Además recordamos a Alonso Hernández, natural de Fuente del Mestre, soltero, hijo de Gonzalo de T. y de Leonor López, nombrado Notario por decreto de la Compañía de Indias el 18 julio 1577, emprendió viaje a Tucumán el 10 junio 1578 desde el puerto de Sevilla, según consta en el Archivo General de Indias. Por otra documentación procedente del mismo archivo, sabemos que hizo gran fortuna y tuvo dos hijos a los cuales reconoció y dotó en su testamento, por lo que suponemos que es uno de los iniciadores de este apellido en América. Otra casa muy antigua. Apellido castellano. Procede de la ciudad de T. en la provincia de Zamora.
