He himself was admitted to the military stamento in 1688, during Montellano Parliament. Other branch. Family from Orroli, in the province of Nuoro. In 1710, the family obtained the hereditary knighthood and nobility, with Agostino, whose descendants, over the course of the nineteenth century, branched off in Siurgus Donigala, Suelli and Cagliari. Other... Continuafamily. Ancient and very noble Tuscan family from Pistoia, known as (De) Turi or (De) Turo. Besides, this family, in all ages, always stands out, thanks to the prominent figures, which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal and ecclesiastical professions and in the military service. Among these, without undervalue the omitted, we would like to mention: Antonio, lawyer, flourishing in Pistoia, in 1562; Fr. Agostino, of the Order of Preachers, flourishing in 1582; Guido, militiaman, flourishing in Pistoia, in 1603; Gio. Batta, landowner, flourishing in 1643; Celestino, canon and apostolic commissioner, flourishing in 1702. From the analysis of colours of the coat of arms we can have some information on the family virtues. The argent, in fact, symbolizes purity, tenderness, temperance, mercy, kindness, the desire to win and the talent of eloquence; a fess or fesse (from Middle English fesse, from Old French, from Latin fascia, "band") is a charge on a coat of arms that takes the form of a band running horizontally across the centre of the shield; or (gold) is the more noble metal, a symbol of wealth, power and control; a bend is a band or strap running from the upper dexter (the bearer's right side and the viewer's left) corner of the shield to the lower sinister (the bearer's left side, and the viewer's right); red ("gules" is the symbol of strength, power but also fervent love for God and neighbour. Family names so old, without any doubt, honour not only families but also the cities that welcomed them; seems to be, in fact, very worthy living members of this family which, with much decorum, carry this noble surname, which has had several illustrious persons.
