Apparteneva alla borghesia agraria ed era in possesso di un notevole patrimonio fondiario, i suoi membri esercitavano tradizionalmente l'avvocatura. Nel 1793 il dottor Giacomo, subdelegato patrimoniale, chiese la concessione dei privilegi per i meriti acquisiti nella difesa della Gallura durante il tentativo di invasione dei Francesi nel 1792. Li ottenne nel 1805 ma non pagò i diritti dovuti. Nel 1835 suo figlio Giovanni tentò inutilmente di evitare il pagamento. Tali sono i principii, che da sopracitati Autori si diedero a questa famiglia, ma per esser questo fatto assai remoto, e d'historia molto lontana, lasciamo perciò a più eruditi delle sacre antichità, e dell'historie l'investigarne il suo certo principio.
