Linaje navarro, originario del lugar de Errea (cuyo nombre tomó), del partido judicial de Aoiz. Tuvo casa-palacio, llamada de Amorena, en el lugar de Cilbeti, del mismo partido de Aoiz, y otro palacio en el lugar de Usechi, perteneciente también al partido judicial mencionado. Dueño de esta casa-palacio fué Ignacio de E., que en su esposa doña Catalina Ardáiz tuvo a Valentín de E., esposo de doña María Pérez y ambos padres de Pedro de E., que contrajo matrimonio con doña María Erro, naciendo de esta unión Pedro de E. y Erro, que casó con doña María Lorente, en la que procreó a Celedonio de E. Lorente, que en su esposa doña María Manuela Olague tuvo a Quintín de E. Olague, que en el año de 1801 vivía en Pamplona en unión de su hermana doña María Rita de E. Ambos eran naturales de la citada capital. Una línea de la misma casa-palacio radicó en el lugar de Eugui, también perteneciente al partido judicial de Aoiz, y a ella pertenecieron Juan José de E. y sus hijos Martín, Nicolás, Esteban, Engracia y Martina, quienes en el año de 1790 solicitaron de los Tribunales de Navarra se les concediese la nobleza que les correspondía como descendientes que eran de la casa solar de Amorena, del lugar de Cilbeti, lo que se mandó así. Miguel de E. y Ripa, natural del citado lugar de Eugui y vecino de Córdoba, por sí, sus hijos Nicolás, Salvadora y María y también Antonio Beltrán de E. y Pedro y Martín de E., hermanos y residentes en Córdoba y Madrid. ...
