Nobility crown EspinchalCette maison est une des plus anciennes d'Auvergne. Elle fournit depuis 1266 neuf chanoines-comtse de Brioude. Un membre de cette famille, Charles de Tagenac, se fixa en Vivarais où il posséda les seigneuries de Bozas et d'Empurany par suite de son mariage avec Anne de Romanet. De ce mariage il eut une fille et un fils, Just-Henri, seigneur et baron de Tagenac, qui par acte du 30 novembre 1659, vendit 9000 livres, à sa sœur Marie, la terre de Bozas avec celle de Rochefort et toutes dépendances. Celle-ci épousa, le 4 juin1645, Joseph de Ginestous, seigneur de Saint-Vincent, fils de Guillaume, seigneur de La Tourette. Leur fille, Marie-Anne de Ginestous, dame de Bozas, Rochefoat, Saint-Félicien, Empurany et Nozière, épousa, vers 1679, Emmanuel du Bourg, maréchal de camp, en faveur de qui ces terres furent unies etérigées en marquisat en 1690. Vers 1642 nous trouvons une donation de demoiselle Diane de Rochefort, veuve de noble Claude de Romanet seigneur d'Empurany et de Bozas, en faveur de dame Madeleine de Dorne, veuve de messire Charles, sa petite-fille. Noble Charles, seigneur de tagenac et Bozas, est envoyé par M. de Tournon aux Etats du Languedoc, à Beaucaire, en octobre 1627. ...
