Nel 1481 un Giovanni fu procuratore reale, suo fratello Gaspare fu governatore del capo di Sassari, in seguito ottenne l'ufficio di procuratore reale ed acquistò le signorie di Allai, Ardauli e del Parte Barigadu. Suo figlio Giovanni, che ottenne ereditariamente l'ufficio di procuratore reale, sposò Antonia Cano erede della baronia del Coghinas. La Cano era stata precedentemente sposata con un Cedrelles dal quale aveva avuto dei figli, per cui Gaspare Fabra, che era nato da questo secondo matrimonio, agli inizi del secolo XVI intentò causa ai fratellastri Cedrelles per ottenere l'eredità materna. Nel 1512 il Supremo Consiglio d'Aragona risolse la lite a favore dei Cedrelles in quanto discendenti dal primo matrimonio di Antonia. Gaspare, nel 1518, vendette il Parte Barigadu agli Alagon e ai Torresani. La sua discendenza si estinse nella seconda metà del secolo e l'ufficio di procuratore reale passò per matrimonio ai De Ixar. Altro ramo. Famiglia catalana un cui ramo si trasferì a Cagliari nel secolo XVI. Discendeva da Pietro di Ixar figlio naturale di re Giacomo d'Aragona. Per il matrimonio di un Gerolamo con Anna Fabra ereditarono l'ufficio di procuratore reale ed assunsero anche il cognome Fabra. Della famiglia non si ebbero più notizie dalla prima metà del secolo XVII e l'ufficio fu ereditato per matrimonio dai Castelvì. Lo stemma della famiglia Fabra è: Inquartato: al primo e al quarto d'azzurro con una mezzaluna d'argento capovolta, al secondo e al terzo di rosso con una stella d'oro. ...
