Nobility crown FigonFamille de robe que l'on croit venue de Florence, fixée en Velay dès 1571 par l'achat du domaine fief de Flachon (aujourd'hui Figon), fait un baron de Montregard par Carlo Figoni ou Charles de Figon, greffier criminel de la sénéchaussée de Toulouse, conseilleur du roi, maître en la Cour des comptes, aides et finances du Languedoc à Montpellier, secrétaire de la reine de Navarre soeur du roi et anobli par ces deux dernières charges. Il épousa le 19 septembre 1559 Flaurie Faure dame de Marnas et en partie de Montregard. Leur fils, Melchior, convoqué à la montre de la noblesse de la sénéchaussée du Puy (1639), fut père de Charles qui servait alors dans le régiment de Roussillon. Ce dernier mourut en 1664, laissant d'Hélène de Lhermuzières sept enfants, dont deux fils: Gaspard et Jacques qui obtinrent du bureau des francs-fiefs de la généralité de Montpellier, le 14 février 1676, un jugement de décharge, reconnaissant leur noblesse, et entre autres filles: Hélène, supérieure du monastère de Montfaucon (1720). La branche du Velay s'est éteinte au XVIIIème siècle, par alliance dans les maisons de Bannes de Boissy, de Besson du Bouchet de Salcrup, et Gibert de Chazotte. Le rameau des Figon, seigneurs de la Mure (Vivarais), a été convoqué à l'Assemblée de la noblesse d'Annonay en 1789. ...
