Nobility crown FioreAntichissima e nobile famiglia sorrentina, ascritta a quel patriziato già nel XV secolo, al seggio di Porta, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Tra i primi personaggi che hanno dato lustro al casato si annovera quell'Ottaviano Fiore, milite e maresciallo di re Ladislao Durazzo d'Angiò. Si ricorda poi un Giovanni Battista che nel XVI secolo militò con molta lode sotto i veneziani e che nella battaglia di Zara contro i Tinelli colse i primi onori della ottenuta vittoria. Il casato venne riscritto nel patriziato di Sorrento sia nel 1572 che nel 1722, dal Sacro Regio Consiglio. Tradizione vuole che questa prosapia abbia poi diramato anche in Puglia ed in Calabria. Tale ipotesi è sostenuta per le somiglianti armi innalzate. In Puglia la famiglia fu nobile in Muro Leccese, ove fiorì un Filippo-Antonio, scudiero di Angilberto del Balzo, Conte di Ugento, nel 1460. ...
