Alcuni membri di essa presero parte alle crociate, e Bernardo di messer Bruno di Corlizzo, monaco vallombrosano, fu eletto Cardinale nel 1097, Vescovo di Parma nel 1106 e dopo la sua morte fu venerato siccome santo sugli altari. Nel XII secolo dettero varj consoli alla Repubblica, fra' quali Uberto nel 1180 e 1194, Gianni nel 1184, Tignosino nel 1189, Schiatta nel 1197, Ranieri nel 1204 e Guido nel 1204. Il suddetto Schiatta nel 1215 fu uno dei promotori delle guerre civili avendo concorso all'uccisione di Buondelmonte dei Buondelmonti, colla famiglia de' quali covava odio da molti anni per gelosia di potere.
