Cette famille était très ancienne à Joyeuse, où on la trouve avec le nom parfois orthographié Guisson. Le 13 février 1387, Poncet, de Joyeuse, est cité comme témoin à Aubenas. Le 16 octobre 1395, Pons, de Joyeuse, est également témoin à Aubenas. Le 30 septembre, quittance de noble Jean, fils de feu noble Pons, de Joyeuse, veuf de feue BErtoline Humbert, père et tuteur de nobles Randon, Bernard et CAtherine, pour noble Sibille Humbert, femme de noble Raymond du Serre, d'Ucel. Le 28 mars 1495, accord entre noble Pons de Borne, seigneur de Ligonès, et noble Pons, coseigneur de Vallon. Noble Guillaume, coseigneur de Vallon, habitant de Salavas, avait épousé noble Louise de Borne, fille de feus nobles Jean de Borne, seigneur de Ligonès, et Jeanne de Borne, alias d'Altier, mariés. Elle eut 600 livres de dot (Jean Trolhas, notaire de Sablières). Pons de Borne, fils dudit feu noble Jean, dit qu'il ne doit payer que 375 livres, le reste représentant la somme constituée par sa feue mère dontil n'est pas héritier et qui a eu pour héritier noble Jean d'Altier, seigneur du Champ, au pays de Gévaudan, héritier de feux Raymond et Guigon d'Altier, père et fils, père et frère de ladite feue noble Jeanne, qui est morte ab intestat (Michel d'Alègre, notaire d'Aubenas). Le 7 février 1517, honnête homme Louis Tachet, libraire d'Aubenas, épouse noble Anthoine, fille de noble Guillaume, du lieu de Salavas, et veuve de feu Antoine Rahut, sabatier d'Aubenas. Témoins: noble Jacques Chambon, juge royal du Vivarais; noble Jean de Charays, sieur de Saint-lager; Messire Jean de Breton, médecin, Jean et Jacques Sanglier, Notaires. ...
