Nobility crown IndartUna casa de este apellido hubo en Cestona, del partido judicial de Azpéitia (Guipúzcoa), y otra en el lugar de Ciga, del Ayuntamiento del Baztán y partido judicial de Pamplona. En 1677, Blas de I., natural de Madrid, fué reconocido como noble por la Real Audiencia de Pamplona, y en 1750, Miguel de Irigoyen e I., natural y vecino de Urdax, en Navarra, obtuvo también declaración de nobleza como descendiente de otra casa de I., radicada en el lugar de Errazu, del Valle del Baztán. De la casa de I., en el lugar de Ciga fué Sancho de I., natural de Ciga, que casó con doña Catalina Berrocochea, de igual naturaleza, y fueron padres de Miguel de I. y Berrocochea, natural de Ciga, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Catalina Garcés de Lerín, natural de Soria (hija de Diego de Lerín y de doña Marta Garcés, ambos de la aldea de Lluvia, en Soria), naciendo de esa unión Blas de I. y Lerín, natural de Madrid y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, en la que ingresó el 8 de Enero de 1678. En el mismo lugar de Cita, hubo otra casa apellidada I., y de ella descendió Miguel de I., natural de Ciga, casado con doña Margarita Sanz, natural de Arizcun, a la que hizo madre de Martín de I. y Sanz, natural de Cita, que casó con doña Juana María de Argortari, natural de Arroiz (hija de Juan de Argortari y de doña María de Aguerrebere, ambos de Arroiz), y fueron padres de Pedro de I. y Argortari, natural de Arroiz, que casó con doña María Josefa de Galañena, natural de Ciga. ...
