Nobility crown IpenarrietaFamilia muy antigua y noble, radicada en Villarreal de Urrechu, del partido judicial de Vergara, en Guipúzcoa. y no en Villarreal de Álava, como equivocadamente han supuesto algunos autores. El palacio de Ipenarrieta se halla edificado en la falda de monte Irimo, y se divisa perfectamente desde la estación ferroviaria de Zumárraga. Fué construído en 1605 y ofrece en su fachada dos escudos de mármol blanco. Ochao de I. vivía en Villarreal de Urrechu en 1463, y fué Field Regidor de la misma en 1472. En 1581 era Señor del mencionado palacio Juan de I., natural de Villarreal de Urechu, que casó y tuvo varios hijos, siendo el primogénito Cristóbal de I. y Martínez de Leturia, natural de Villarreal de Urrechu, residente en Madrid, Caballero de Calatrava y del Concejo de Hacienda. Casó con doña Antonia Galdós y Díaz de Santa Cruz, naciendo de este enlace Bernardo de I. Galdós, natural de Villarreal de Urrechu, Caballero de la Orden de Santiago y esposo de doña Gregoria de Ibarra y Busto natural de Ocaña (Toledo), en la que procreó a José de I. e Ibarra, natural de Madrid, y también Caballero de Santiago, cruzado en 1659. ...
