Tuvo casas el apellido J. en la villa de Fondarella, provincia de Lérida. Según mosén Jaime Feber, Pedro J. pasó a la conquista de Valencia, y, junto a un barranco de Murviedro (hoy Sagunto), apresó veinte moros que bajaban de la sierra por el valle de Uxó con cincuenta caballerías cargadas de trigo, cebada y otros comestibles, todo lo cual presentó al rey. Realizó innumerables hazañas, que le dieron nombre de valiente, en especial en las villas de Albaida y Luchente. De los J. de Tortosa (Tarragona), fue Pedro Ramón J., natural de Tortosa, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Maciana Olivera, de igual naturaleza, y fueron padres de Pedro J. y Olivera, natural de Tortosa, casado con doña Jerónima Valls. Fue su hijo Gregorio J. y Valls, natural de Tortosa y caballero de la Orden de Montesa, en la que ingresó el 18 de marzo de 1632. Berengario J. pasó a la conquista de Mallorca, y quedó heredado en el reparto general, con el raal "Abenmujer" de siete yugadas, en el distrito de Petra. Pedro J., caballero mallorquín, fue secretario del rey de Aragón y encargado de cobrar el impuesto que en 1458 se creó para atender a los gastos de la armada contra los turcos. Otros Pedro J., o acaso el mismo, fue doctor en medicina, y en 1481, jurado de la ciudad de Palma y reino de Mallorca, por la clase de nobles. ...
