I Dittajuti prima Diotajuti, Ditajuti, sono di antichissima schiatta osimana, dove hanno sempre goduto nobiltà. Ebbero illustri magistrati, letterati, ecclesiastici e capitani. Già fin dal 1150 troviamo nel catasto vecchio scritto in pergamena un Diotajuto. Nel 1362 Puccione fu Gonfaloniere. Nel 1384 Niccolò fu segretario del marchese Francesco di Mantova, e fatto capitano di 300 fanti, morì da valoroso a Sabionetta, dove fu fatto seppellire con gran pompa. Diotajuto, Gonfaloniere 1444, liberò la patria dalla tirannide di Pandolfo Malatesta. Nel 1478 un altro Diotajuto fu dottore insigne di legge, valoroso soldato, gonfaloniere, Podestà di Fano nel 1488; ambasciatore con Pierdomenico L. a Innocenzo VIII, e combattè per la Chiesa contro Buccolino Gozzoni.
