Nobility crown LuvigneCette famille originaire du Vivarais, s'établit à Saint-Chamond vers la fin du XVIIème siècle et passa, au siècle suivant à Lion, où elle est encore représentée. Nous la trouvons à Sarras où François était notaire royal et lieutenant dudit lieu, en 1650. Jean-Charles, avocat en parlement, juge châtelain dudit lieu, épousa Anne Saléon et fut père de: 1° Jeanne, baptisée à Sarras le 19 juillet 1677; 2° Charles-Elzéard, baptisé le 2 juin 1678; 3° Marie, baptisée le 11 mai 1680. Et plus tard: 4° Jean-François de Luvigne, commissaire en droits seigneuriaux, capitaine châtelain de la juridiction de Sarras et dépendances, marié à Marie Boye, lequel passait une transaction, le 9 août 1755, devant M. Aubernon, notaire à Lyon, avec Joseph, demeurant au château de Chavannes près Givors, en Lyonnais. Un de ses membres, implanté à Saint-Chamond, pour y faire commerce des soies, est l'auteur des branches fixées à Lyon et en Charolais. M. Amédée d'Avaize, de Lyon, nous a très aimablement communiqué une généalogie de cette famille, généalogie dressée d'après les actes de l'état-civil et les registres des notaires. Il commence la filiation à Floris, marchand à Boulieu, puis à Saint-Chamond, né vers 1657, mort le 18 juillet 1729, marié audit lieu, le 26 juin 1696, à Anne Berleir, veuve de Marc Thorel, dont entre autres: Gabriel qui épousa à Saint-Chamond, le 7 juin 1733, Françoise-Marie Porcher, fille d'Antoine et de Jeanne Mathevon. De ce mariage sont issus, entre autres: 1° Antoine-Simon, marié à Lyon, par contrat du 10 avril 1762, reçu Brénot, à Nicolle Foy de Saint-Maurice, fille de Marc-Antoine Foy de Saint-Maurice, ancien capitaine au régiment de Limousin, et de Pierrette Riverieulx de l'Arbaletière; 2° Marie de Luvigne, mariée, à Saint-Chamond, le 27 avril 1722, à noble Just-François Percie, sieur du Sert, avocat en parlement, fils de François, capitaine châtelain de la baronnie de Vocance, et de dame Jeanne Verne. Un des derniers de cette famille, Louis-François-Alphée, fut avocat à la Cour d'appel de Lyon. Il mourut en 1884. ...
