Una línea de la casa de Aya pasó a Guarnizo (Santander) y de ella descendió Vicente M. y López, natural de Guarnizo y Caballero de la Orden de Carlos III, en 1806. De la misma casa de Aya procedió Vicente M. y Pérez, Canónigo de varias Catedrales de España y diputado a Cortes, que se hizo célebre discutiendo con Castelar y revelándose como gran orador parlamentario y ardiente defensor de la causa carlista. Nació en San Sebastián en 1833 y murió en Alba de Tormes (Salamanca) el 24 de Actubre de 1891.
