Oriundi di Carignano i due fratelli Melchiorre e Giovanni Domenico, che vivevano agli inizi del secolo XVII, eressero ivi una cappella nel convento dei padri Agostiniani. la discendenza di Giovani Domenico ebbe termine col nipote Carlo Antonio, di Lorenzo, il quale consegnò nel 1687 l'arma col cugino Melchiorre, di Carlo. Melchiorre ebbe per figlio Carlo, da cui nacque altro Melchiorre che consegnò l'arma col cugino Carlo Antonio. Acquistò Melchiorre dai Radicati nel 1698 porzioni di Cocconato di cui fu investito il 1 aprile 1699 col titolo signorile. Ebbe da usa moglie, Anna Maria Tonso, dodici figli, per cui ottenne l'immunità il 5 maggio 1702. Primogenito fu Carlo Francesco, che fu cavaliere del Senato, cavaliere onorario della Camera, giudice e conservatore generale delle gabelle.
