Famiglia oriunda da Signe, nella Tarantasia. Venne in Torino verso la fine del secolo XVII. Pietro Enrico (n. Signe), di Gabriele, che era banchiere in Torino, fu padre di Melchiorre, Giuseppe e Lorenzo, stipiti questi due ultimi delle linee di Montù Beccaria e di St. Martin. Melchiorre (n. 7 dicembre 1711, morto 1789) fu infeudato il 21 novembre 1786 di Montù Beccaria, e investito, il 5 dicembre, col titolo comitale per sé e per il fratello Giuseppe. Questi (n. Torino, 25 novembre 1714; deceduto ivi, 29 luglio 1792) fu investito di Montù Beccaria il 18 settembre 1789, col titolo comitale per successione al fratello Melchiorre. Fu infeudato di Orfengo il 14 agosto 1790 e investito il 7 settembre successivo, ma ne dispose con testamento del 6 marzo 1792, a favore del suo secondogenito Ferdinando. Il primogenito Luigi (n.
