Con decreto del 17 luglio 1840 fu ammesso alla nobiltà di Fiesole il capitano Giacomo Roberto, vedovo di Sava Carlotta Sutton, figlia di Giacomo Sutton e di Eleonora Addington, nipote di lord Sidmounth, insieme ai suoi figli e loro discendenti. Il predetto Roberto dopo aver disimpegnato diversi onorevoli incarichi nella diplomazia del suo paese, giunto al grado di Console Generale, ottenne di ritirarsi e si stabilì in una sua villa a Montughi presso Firenze acquistandosi riconoscenza e stima per le sue opere di beneficenza. La presenza del motto nella bibliografia documentata della famiglia ci conferma l'avita nobiltà raggiunta della casata.
