Ces armes, que le Vicomte de Montravel attribue à la terre d'Aulneyres, ont grande chance d'avoir été relevées par ses propriétaires. Ne semble-t-il pas, du reste, qu'il y ait une certaine analogie entre ces armes et celles que Bachelin-Deflorenne donne aus Matty de La Tour, de Provence, qui sont: "D'azur, au phénix d'or sur un bûcher de même enflammé de gueules et regardant un soleil aussi d'or, mouvant du flanc droit". Le 16 avril 1599, Louis, marquis de Maubec, comte de Montlaur, seigneur d'aubenas, Montpezat, etc. céda la terre d'Aulneyres à Jean Maty, notaire royal de Thueyts. Jean Maty, emphytéote perpétuel du fief franc et noble de la Tour d'Aulneyres, paroisse de Colombier, épousa Anne Juge, fille de Pierre, cessionnaire de la moitié dudit fief. Lequel Juge ayant été tué par ses co-partiaires, Guillaume et Jacques d'Auneyres, leurs parts furent confisquées au rpofit de Jean Maty. Les Maty s'éteignirent à la quatrième génération, en la personne de Jean de Maty de La Combe d'Aulneyres, marié à Françoise de Conches, de la ville de Privas, de laquelle il laissa douze enfants. Entre autres, Françoise, mariée, le 17 janvier 1734, à Thomas-Claude Arnaud de Praneuf, auquel elle porta tous les biens de sa famille. ...
